DAY 2 CHEMICAL PEEL & MICRONEEDLING

You might not be 'peeling' intensely on Day 2, but rather feeling a tightness and seeing that persistent redness. Around my nose, I sometimes notice earlier shedding. The anticipation of 'looking like a snake' as your skin sheds is real, but it's part of the process of revealing that fresh, new skin. We haven't seen the full sheets of shedding yet, but I know it's coming! During this critical recovery period, proper aftercare is non-negotiable. I focus on gentle hydration and strict sun protection. Look for products that are soothing, free of harsh actives, and designed to support skin barrier repair. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and gentle antioxidants can be your best friends. A good, broad-spectrum sunscreen is absolutely essential, even indoors, to protect your freshly revealed skin from UV damage. Avoiding direct sun exposure is key to preventing new dark spots. And resist the urge to pick or pull at any flaking skin – let it come off naturally! It’s a journey, not a sprint, but seeing my acne scars and dark spots visibly fade makes every bit of the redness and impending 'shed' worth it.
