I’m posting this to try to document what I’d like to use for my skincare routine in 2024 and to stick with it consistently. I’m gonna do skin cycling, def not using these all everyday. I also def don’t have perfect skin, and I struggled with acne a few years ago and it’s taken me a lot of time (and money) to find these products that are working for me!
Cleansers - only use the salicylic acid cleansers 1-2 times per week. The other one is great for makeup removal as well.
Toners - only using PHA toner 1-2 times per week. Only using gentle toners for this year.
Anti-Inflammatory - this was recommended by my skincare professional to reduce redness on recovery days and after makeup day. I use it right after I cleanse.
Serums - keeping it simple with these two, the HA for everyday and the TGF for recovery days. I used to go nuts with serums but that wasn’t working for me.
Acid Exfoliation - only use these once per week, especially the AHA + BHA. I’ve found that these make a huge difference in shedding that dead skin layer.
Retinols - just got this retinol recommended by my skincare professional. I also substitute it out with prescription retinols like Tretinoin and Adapalene.
Moisturizer - I just learned that I have dry skin so I am trying to moisturize much. I have one for daytime so it doesn’t melt off my face in Florida, and then the skin barrier recovery lotion.
Neck Cream - I use a thicker cream for my neck and chest since they can handle it. I also use hand cream every night before bed.
