น้ำตกโกรกอีดกเปิดให้ท่องเที่ยวในช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคมถึงพฤศจิกายนของทุกปี ซึ่งถือว่าเป็นฤดูฝนที่น้ำตกจะมีน้ำมากและสวยงามเป็นพิเศษ สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจไปเยือนแนะนำให้จองล่วงหน้าผ่านช่องทางที่จัดไว้เพื่อความสะดวก เพราะจำนวนผู้เข้าชมต่อวันมีจำกัดเพียง 100 คนเท่านั้น ค่าเข้าชมโดยการลงทะเบียนออนไลน์อยู่ที่ประมาณ 300 บาท รวมบริการรถรางและเจ้าหน้าที่นำทาง ทำให้การเดินทางไม่ยุ่งยากมาก มือใหม่ที่ไม่เคยเดินป่าก็สามารถเพลิดเพลินกับการเดินชมธรรมชาติได้ ระยะทางประมาณ 7-8 กิโลเมตร ใช้เวลาทั้งหมดประมาณ 6-7 ชั่วโมง โดยเส้นทางเดินแบ่งเป็น 7 ชั้น น้ำตกในชั้นบนๆ ต้องปีนป่ายและใช้เชือกช่วย แต่ก็เป็นประสบการณ์ที่สนุกและท้าทาย การเตรียมตัวแนะนำให้เตรียมรองเท้าที่เหมาะกับการปีนเขา มีน้ำดื่มและอาหารว่างสำหรับพักระหว่างทาง รวมถึงเตรียมตัวให้พร้อมกับสภาพอากาศที่ค่อนข้างเปียกชื้นในช่วงฤดูฝน เพราะพื้นอาจลื่นได้ ควรระมัดระวังในชั้นที่ชันโดยใช้เชือกช่วย และเดินอย่างค่อยเป็นค่อยไปไม่รีบร้อน โดยส่วนตัวผู้เขียนเดินทางในฐานะมือใหม่ที่ไม่ค่อยออกกำลังกายมาก่อน พบว่าการเดินช้าๆ และพักบ่อยๆ ทำให้สามารถไปถึงยอดได้อย่างสนุกสนาน พร้อมทั้งบรรยากาศที่เงียบสงบและเสียงน้ำตกตลอดเส้นทางทำให้ประทับใจมาก สุดท้ายนี้ หากอยากหลีกหนีความวุ่นวายของเมือง และชื่นชมธรรมชาติแบบเต็มอิ่ม น้ำตกโกรกอีดกคือทางเลือกที่น่าสนใจที่คุณไม่ควรพลาดในช่วงเปิดท่องเที่ยวปีนี้
