I don't know if that is true or not but I do know There is something called a "Ghost job" where legitimate companies post a position that doesn't actually exist or isn't actively been filled. Why do companies post ghost jobs? For various reasons 1. Building a talent pipeline 2. Gauging market interest 3. Creating the illusion of growth 4. Keeping current employees motivated 5. Meeting internal requirements 6. Collecting data Which is frustrating for job seekers who invest time and effort in applying for roles that are not truly available.
