One Week Silk Press Refresh ✨

It’s been a week since my silk press, and while it’s not as silky anymore, I’ve found a quick and easy way to make it work! 🙌🏾

Today, I opted for heatless curls to add some bounce and threw on a cute headband for a polished look. 💁🏾‍♀️ This combo helps extend the life of my press without adding extra heat damage.

Here’s how I did it:

1️⃣ At night, I used the kitsch heatless curl set.

2️⃣ In the morning, I gently removed the set and separated the curls with my fingers for volume.

3️⃣ Added a headband to pull it all together.

This look is perfect for casual days or even a quick outing when you don’t have time to fully style. 💕

First, consider incorporating a silk or satin scarf into your nighttime routine. This helps reduce friction while you sleep, keeping your hairstyle intact. Secondly, hydration is key! Use a light leave-in conditioner or hair oil to moisturize your strands, preventing dryness without causing heaviness. Avoid heavy products that can lead to build-up, instead opting for those that nourish without weighing the hair down. Lastly, regular trims can also make a significant difference in maintaining your silk press. This prevents split ends and keeps your hair looking healthy overall. Don’t forget to listen to your hair and respond to its needs, especially during transitional seasons. By implementing these practices, you can enjoy a long-lasting, vibrant silk press that’s easy to refresh and style!
