Are You being Authentic?

For a long time, I believed being 'authentic' meant constantly putting others first, giving until I was depleted, and always trying to meet everyone's expectations. So, how do we begin this journey, especially when we don't know who you are or are caught in patterns of people-pleasing? For me, it started with deep self-reflection. Asking myself: 'Who am I when no one is watching? What truly brings me joy and peace, independent of others’ approval?' It’s a healing journey, often requiring us to gently unpack past traumas or beliefs that taught us our worth was tied to external validation. Embracing spiritual authenticity also means setting healthy boundaries. This isn't selfish; it's self-honoring. It's acknowledging that you can't pour from an empty cup, and sometimes, saying 'no' to others is saying 'yes' to your soul.
