My fav and fast steamed fish!

👍Why I like it: it's speedy and healthy.

Take baking paper.

Take fresh salmon. Take a knife and make a small “poking” on the salmon steak.

Add on the top 1 table spoon of soy sauce.

About of fresh lemon. Abit of black pepper.

Roll the paper and close tight. After keep refrigerated for min 30mins.

Meanwhile I steamed my potatoes for mash.

After your potatoes cooked, you can steam the fish.

Steamed inside your steamer for 15-20 minutes, done.

... Read moreSteaming fish is an excellent cooking method that preserves flavor, moisture, and nutrients without adding unnecessary fats. In my experience, using baking paper to wrap the salmon not only keeps the fish tender but also infuses it with the aromas of lemon and soy sauce, making each bite flavorful yet light. Marinating the fish for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator allows the soy sauce and lemon juice to penetrate deeply, enhancing the taste naturally. In addition, pairing the steamed salmon with freshly mashed potatoes creates a comforting and balanced meal. Potatoes steam up quickly, and mashing them right after cooking retains their fluffy texture. For added richness, consider adding a touch of butter or a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or chives into the mash. For those new to steaming or looking to elevate their home cooking, investing in a reliable steamer—such as an electric basket steamer or a multi-tiered bamboo steamer—can be a game changer. Steaming for 15-20 minutes ensures the salmon is cooked through but still moist and delicate. Remember, fresh fish cooks faster, so adjust timing based on thickness. One of my favorite tricks is to add aromatics like sliced ginger or garlic inside the baking paper packet along with the fish to layer flavors without overpowering. This method supports clean eating while delivering restaurant-quality taste and keeps cleanup easy. This fast and healthy steamed salmon recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or when you want a nutritious meal that doesn’t require much hands-on time. Plus, it pairs wonderfully with a variety of steamed vegetables, making it adaptable to your favorite seasonal produce. Give this recipe a try, and you might find it becoming a staple in your home cooking routine!
