I COMPLETED THE FAFSA! 💰
I’m back with another FAFSA post and update!
I was finally able to complete my own FAFSA form recently and I wanted to share some tips I got from completing it.
The new form only takes 15 minutes or so to complete your own portion, from there there’s a very succinct portion for your spouse and or parent to complete. All together, it only took about 25 to 30 minutes to completely be finished and turned in!
I took the time to go through the FAFSA website and screenshot a few more of their updates. Check out the very bottom of their webpage for frequently asked questions and all the latest updates in their comments.
REMINDER: there is a soft launch going on, so the FAFSA will be unavailable at certain points. Be sure to check back at a later date, if you are unable to access it!

Filling out the FAFSA form can be a daunting task, but it’s essential for securing financial aid for college. To enhance your experience, it helps to be well prepared by gathering necessary documents like income information, Social Security numbers, and other personal details. Typically, the process takes about 25-30 minutes, including contributions from both the student and parents or spouses. One key aspect to remember while applying is the importance of regularly checking the FAFSA website for updates and announcements. During the soft launch period, access may be limited, so patience is necessary. The site provides a robust Help Center, answering frequently asked questions about eligibility, account management, and application status. For anyone concerned about the deadline, stay updated as applications become available, and don’t hesitate to seek guidance if you run into issues. Additionally, utilizing the resources available, such as online webinars or community forums focused on FAFSA completion, can significantly enhance understanding and reduce stress for applicants. Completing the FAFSA is a crucial step towards achieving your educational goals, and being informed is the best strategy you can employ.
