... Read moreCooking with kids not only helps them learn essential life skills but also fosters a healthy relationship with food. Involving children in the kitchen can improve their understanding of nutrition and inspire them to make healthier choices. Consider introducing them to basic cooking techniques, such as chopping, stirring, and measuring ingredients, which can boost their confidence and creativity. Choose recipes that are age-appropriate and allow them to explore flavors and textures, like homemade breakfast sausage wraps or simple veggie stir-fries. Additionally, use this time to teach your children about kitchen safety – like proper knife handling and hygiene – to enhance their cooking experience. Incorporating fun themes into your cooking sessions can keep them engaged. For example, you could create themed nights, like Taco Tuesday or Pizza Party Friday, where children can help customize their meals. By creating a collaborative environment, you strengthen family bonds while instilling a passion for cooking that can last a lifetime. Yes, I most definitely have my baby in the kitchen with me when I cook. She be thinking she doing all by herself and she always keep our dog company too because when I’m cook he thinks he about to eat too. So it’s always fun with them two.

My babies are always asking to help. So i let them stir sometimes or crack eggs here and there. I hope they keep that interest when they’re a bit older so I can fully teach them.
