💭 Thoughts
Let’s be honest, I signed up for this ARC because of the title and the word “croissant.” 😂 What I didn’t expect was that it’s a polycule story, and since it’s my first time exploring this kind of dynamic, I felt uncomfortable but decided to keep reading with an open mind.
I loved the little scrapbook pages and illustrations. Those were definitely the highlight! But as for the story itself… the plot didn’t really go anywhere. It mostly focused on the relationship between the four characters, and honestly, Yasmin wasn’t as strong of a lead as I hoped. The only one who really stood out to me was Riku (sorry the rest 😬).
The vampire part? A bit cringey, but it did make me laugh out loud a few times because I had no idea what was even happening. 😂
✨ Overall Thoughts
I don’t even know how to rate this because it’s just so different from what I usually read. The concept is wild, the visuals are fun, but the story itself didn’t make much sense to me. Still, it got a few giggles out of me, so I’ll give it that. 🤣
