I’ve Been Dying To Read Verity & I Finally Got A Chance To..
I Gotta Say That I Loved How Different This Story Was.. I Liked How The Story Was Carried By A Manuscript…
Verity- A Writer, a Mother , a Wife..
Her Obsession Got The Best Of Her, The Person That She Least Expected Ruined Her Life..
Jeremy- Verity’s Husband, Father,
Did Some Things For & Anger..
Lowen- Verity’s Co Author, Got Herself Involved In Some Weird S**t With Verity & Jeremy.
The Plot Twist Was Definitely Shocking To Me.. Also There Was Something Else That Was Also A Shock … The Only Reason I Didn’t Give It 5⭐️ Is Because a Character Said Something That I Didn’t Quite Like. Other Than That It Was a Very Interesting, Entertaining, Crazy Book. 📖🖤
... Read moreReading Verity was an intense experience that kept me hooked from start to finish. One thing that really stood out to me was how the story is uniquely carried through a manuscript written by the protagonist, Verity herself. This narrative device adds a layer of suspense and intrigue that is rare in thriller novels.
The characters are beautifully complex—Verity is a multifaceted woman juggling her roles as a writer, mother, and wife, whose obsession spirals into dark territory. Jeremy, her husband, comes across as a conflicted figure, driven by anger and desperate actions. Lowen, the co-author, finds herself unexpectedly entangled in their mysterious and tense relationship, adding twists that I did not see coming.
What truly sets this book apart are the shocking plot twists. I found myself constantly re-evaluating the characters’ motives and the unfolding events. The shock wasn’t just limited to the plot but extended to the emotional responses the story evoked.
However, I did encounter one moment where a character’s comment felt out of place for me, which kept my rating at 4.75 rather than a full 5 stars. Still, this minor issue did not detract from what is overall a fascinating and captivating read.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers with a female author’s signature pulse of drama and suspense—qualities that the New York Times bestselling Colleen Hoover is famous for—then Verity is a must-read. It challenges your expectations and delivers an addictive narrative that lingers long after you finish the last page.
I loved this book! One of the best books I’ve ever read.
