Our toddlers plate va OURS! 🤭🩵

We started doing BLW (Baby led weaning) since he was 6 months old because we wanted to make sure our son would eat the same thing we were having. Thankfully it has been working out great to this day! My son is 20 months old, and eats about anything!

We had Gyro bowls for dinner, and that’s what his plate looked like versus ours! I just love seeing him enjoy his food with us at the table.

Ps: meatballs were cut down to 4s after the pictures 🩵

... Read moreBaby Led Weaning (BLW) is gaining popularity among parents as an effective way to introduce solid foods to toddlers. It encourages self-feeding, improving their motor skills and independence. By starting BLW around six months, as we did, children learn to enjoy a variety of flavors and textures, which is crucial for their culinary development. Mealtime becomes a social experience, boosting family bonding as everyone enjoys meals together. Sharing dishes like gyro bowls and cutting down meatballs for safety showcases how to adapt meals for toddlers while still enjoying adult versions. It's essential that meals are healthy and visually appealing to engage toddlers in trying new foods. Many parents find success in creating balanced plates with vibrant veggies, proteins, and grains, mirroring their meals without compromising on nutrition. Engaging toddlers in meal preparation, even in small ways, can also increase their interest in food. Online communities and hashtags like #BLWMeals, #WhatMyToddlerEats provide ample resources and support for parents navigating this journey, making it a fun and educational experience for both toddler and caregiver.
