Iām a lazy content creator
Iāve definitely been extremely lazy lately in posting my content and drawing videos here lately. But one of those drawings has a new video up on my YouTube channel. If you like these pictures you might enjoy watching me create them links in my profile #youtuber #artistsoflemon8 #artist #drawing #art United States
Hey Lemon8 fam! So, I mentioned in my post that Iāve been a bit of a lazy content creator lately, and honestly, who hasn't felt that creative slump? It's tough sometimes to keep that consistent flow of new digital drawings and videos going, even when you love what you do. But I've been trying to shake things up and get back into the rhythm, especially with my latest digital drawing video now live on YouTube! One thing that really helps me when I feel unmotivated is to break down my larger art goals into smaller, manageable steps. Instead of thinking "I need to complete a full digital painting today," I might focus on just sketching out a unique character with a confident expression, or maybe experimenting with a new color palette for a stylized blue and orange sky background. Sometimes, just focusing on a small detail, like the shimmer in a character's vibrant purple hair or the texture of a dark green jacket, can reignite that spark. Another trick is to change my environment or even just my subject matter. You might notice in my work that I love drawing different women ā from a dynamic figure looking upwards in a light blue crop top to a more serene character with dark hair styled in a neat bun. Each one presents a new challenge and helps keep things fresh. I also find that seeing how other artists tackle things like creating a striking expression or illustrating a particular hair type, like long bright blonde hair in a braid, can be super inspiring. For anyone out there trying to be a drawing content creator, remember that sharing your process is just as valuable as the finished piece. People love seeing the behind-the-scenes, the struggles, and the breakthroughs. When you watch my new video, youāll see how I approach things like developing a character's pose, choosing colors for their clothing (like that light grey top or dark shorts), and even adding abstract shapes to the background to give the artwork more depth. Itās not always glamorous, but itās real! Building a community around your art is also incredibly rewarding. Interacting with fellow artists of Lemon8 and getting feedback on my digital drawings really pushes me forward. Sometimes a simple comment on how someone enjoyed the intense expression of a character with striking green eyes, or how they relate to the challenge of drawing a specific outfit, makes all the difference. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, even if you feel like you're not producing content at lightning speed. Consistency is key, but so is taking care of your creative well-being. What are your go-to strategies when you feel that creative block creeping in? I'd love to hear them! Keep creating, even if it's one small digital drawing at a time.
