There are two floors inside the museum, showcasing stories about the history of the Department of Corrections and the evolution of Thai prisons, and taking us to find out, "Why is there a prison?"
There are both inside
- A dummy of past punishment.
- Bondage machines and equipment that were actually used.
- The story of living inside a prison.
- Art works and paintings of inmates;
- The concept of rehabilitation and the provision of opportunities for inmates to reintegrate into society;
On the outside there are also shop zones such as cafes, souvenir shops, massage parlours and barbershops, which are career skills training areas and give inmates the opportunity to develop their skills before reintegration into society (but the day we went to the shop wasn't open).

การมาเยี่ยมชมพิพิธภัณฑ์ราชทัณฑ์ที่นนทบุรีไม่เพียงแต่จะได้ความรู้ลึกซึ้งเกี่ยวกับงานราชทัณฑ์และประวัติศาสตร์เรือนจำในประเทศไทย แต่ยังเป็นโอกาสที่ดีในการเข้าใจบทบาทของเรือนจำในสังคม และแนวทางการฟื้นฟูผู้ต้องขังให้กลับมาใช้ชีวิตอย่างปกติสุขหลังพ้นโทษ จากประสบการณ์ที่ได้เดินชมภายในพิพิธภัณฑ์ ชั้น 1 และ 2 ที่จัดแสดงอย่างเรียบง่ายแต่น่าสนใจ มีการนำเสนอหุ่นจำลองการลงโทษในอดีต เครื่องพันธนาการที่ใช้จริง รวมถึงเรื่องราวชีวิตประจำวันของผู้ต้องขังซึ่งให้ความรู้และเปิดมุมมองใหม่ ๆ ไม่เหมือนใคร สิ่งที่ประทับใจคือ โซนที่จัดแสดงผลงานศิลปะและภาพวาดของผู้ต้องขัง เห็นได้ชัดว่าศิลปะเป็นช่องทางหนึ่งที่ช่วยให้พวกเขาระบายความรู้สึก และส่งเสริมความคิดสร้างสรรค์ นอกจากนี้ พื้นที่ร้านค้าอย่างร้านกาแฟ ร้านนวด และร้านตัดผมที่อยู่บริเวณด้านนอก แม้วันที่ไปจะยังไม่เปิดให้บริการ แต่ก็เห็นได้ว่านี่คือพื้นที่ฝึกทักษะวิชาชีพที่ช่วยให้ผู้ต้องขังมีโอกาสเรียนรู้ทักษะติดตัวเพื่อนำไปใช้ในชีวิตจริงหลังพ้นโทษ สำหรับการเดินทาง พิพิธภัณฑ์ตั้งอยู่ไม่ไกลจากท่าน้ำนนท์ สามารถมาด้วยรถโดยสารประจำทางหรือเรือ แล้วเดินต่อประมาณ 5-10 นาที หรือนั่งวินมอเตอร์ไซค์จากป้ายก็สะดวกดี และมีที่จอดรถสำหรับรถยนต์หรือมอเตอร์ไซค์ด้วย โดยสรุป นี่คือสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่เหมาะกับคนที่อยากหาความรู้อย่างแท้จริง การมาเยือนพิพิธภัณฑ์ราชทัณฑ์ช่วยเปิดมุมมองให้เรามีความเข้าใจที่ลึกซึ้งในเรื่องของการบริหารงานราชทัณฑ์และการฟื้นฟูคนที่เคยหลงทางในสังคม ถือเป็นหนึ่งวันดี ๆ ในนนทบุรีที่ไม่ควรพลาด
