It's actually not as hard as it looks, and with a little patience, you can totally rock this look at home too! A contrasting color, like a soft black or a deep gray, works well here to make those tiny details stand out without being too harsh. If you're feeling extra, you can even add a tiny shimmer top coat to just the wings to give them a pixie crush sparkle – it catches the light so beautifully! A good quick-dry top coat is your absolute best friend here to seal in all your hard work, prevent smudges, and give your manicure lasting power. I always make sure to cap the free edge of my nails with the top coat too, it really helps with chip prevention. Beyond the butterflies, I often pair them with other simple, coordinating designs on my other nails to create a full, harmonious look. For instance, if I have pastel butterfly nails on my ring finger, I might do a solid pastel shade on my pinky, or even some playful candy sprinkles on my index finger for a fun, whimsical touch.
