It's incredible to look back at 2024 and see just how much happened! For anyone else out there having a truly transformative year, or looking ahead to one, I wanted to share a bit more about how I navigated some of my biggest adventures. First, those paranormal investigations! Visiting places like the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum and the Lizzie Borden House wasn't just about ghost hunting; it was an immersive historical experience. If you’re curious about exploring haunted locations, my biggest tip is always to do your research. Understand the history, the reported phenomena, and any rules or guidelines for visitors. Always go with a friend or a group, and make sure you respect the location. I always bring a voice recorder and a camera, but sometimes, the most profound experiences are the ones you feel, not just capture. It’s about being open to the unknown and soaking in the atmosphere. These investigations taught me so much about history and the human psyche. Then there was launching Freehold Ghost Tours! This was a huge leap of faith, turning a passion into a business. If you're dreaming of starting your own unique venture, my advice is to just start small. I began by mapping out local legends and historical spots, practicing my delivery, and getting feedback from friends. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. There were definitely moments of doubt, but seeing people light up as they learn about the spooky side of history makes all the hard work worth it. Building a community around a shared interest is truly rewarding. And of course, turning 30, embarking on a health journey, and getting married were massive personal milestones. It felt like a whirlwind! My bachelorette party in Vegas with my best friends was an absolute blast, a perfect moment of celebration before diving into married life. For anyone navigating big life changes, whether it’s a new decade, a new relationship, or a commitment to self-improvement, remember to be kind to yourself. There will be ups and downs, but celebrating the small victories and leaning on your support system makes all the difference. It's truly amazing what you can accomplish when you set your mind to it. 2024 definitely showed me that tough times and hard work can lead to the most iconic moments.
