As a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) at 21, balancing my life with a 3-month-old is rewarding yet challenging. Mornings typically begin early, often dictated by my baby's schedule. Last week, we faced the notorious 4-month sleep regression where my little one, once a champion sleeper, started waking up during the night. Sleep regression is common around this age, and many parents experience a shift in their child's sleep patterns. Parents in the community frequently share tips on coping with this phase, emphasizing the importance of routines and soothing bedtime practices. Seeking advice on sleep strategies, I’ve learned that maintaining a consistent sleep environment and bedtime can help. Additionally, introducing gentle sleep associations, allowing your baby to self-soothe, and ensuring they're not overtired are effective measures. Finding balance amidst the challenges is crucial, and sharing experiences with fellow moms makes each hurdle more manageable. Through this journey of motherhood, I also cherish sweet moments, like the brief visit with my daughter’s great-grandma and the calming self-care ritual of postpartum massages, which have been incredibly beneficial for my well-being. Every day brings its joys and struggles; by connecting with others, we can share insights and support each other as we navigate the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
