Trauma EFT SCRIPT
Here’s a gentle EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping script you can use to release trauma and help your body feel safe again. You can speak these words out loud or silently as you tap through the points. Adjust the words to fit your personal experience if needed.
EFT Script: Trauma & Feeling Safe Again
1. Setup Statement (tap on the side of your hand – karate chop point)
Repeat 3 times:
• “Even though part of me is still holding on to this trauma, I deeply and completely love, honor, and accept myself.”
• “Even though I don’t always feel safe, I choose to allow safety into my body, mind, and spirit.”
• “Even though I’ve been through hard things, I choose to remember that I am safe right here, right now.”
2. Tapping Sequence (tap through each point, saying the phrase)
• Eyebrow: This trauma I’ve been carrying
• Side of Eye: The fear that still lives in my body
• Under Eye: The way it makes me feel unsafe
• Under Nose: I honor how real it feels inside me
• Chin: I’ve been holding onto this for so long
• Collarbone: Part of me is ready to let this go
• Under Arm: Part of me is scared to let it go
• Top of Head: But I choose to be gentle with myself right now
3. Clearing Round
• Eyebrow: What if I could feel safe again?
• Side of Eye: I am open to allowing safety back in
• Under Eye: My body deserves peace
• Under Nose: I deserve to feel safe and grounded
• Chin: I am choosing safety in this moment
• Collarbone: My nervous system can calm down now
• Under Arm: I let go of fear that isn’t serving me anymore.
• Top of Head: I am safe. I am present. I am whole.
4. Positive Round
• Eyebrow: I choose to remember I am safe now.
• Side of Eye: I am supported in this moment.
• Under Eye: I can release the past gently.
• Under Nose: My body knows how to heal.
• Chin: I invite calm and peace inside me.
• Collarbone: I am surrounded by love and safety.
• Under Arm: It is safe to feel safe.
• Top of Head: I am safe, I am free, I am whole.
5. Closing
Place your hands over your heart and say:
“I honor the journey I’ve been on. I give myself permission to heal and to feel safe. Right here, right now, I am safe.”
Pro tip: Go slowly, breathe deeply, and if strong emotions arise, pause and give yourself compassion. EFT works best when repeated regularly—each round may bring more calm and a deeper sense of safety.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an effective self-help technique combining psychological acupressure with gentle tapping on specific meridian points on the body. This method is widely used to reduce stress, trauma, and emotional pain by helping regulate the nervous system and reclaim a sense of safety and calm. The trauma EFT script provided guides you through a structured tapping sequence, which includes setup statements to acknowledge trauma, tapping on key points to address fear and discomfort, a clearing round to invite safety, and a positive round to reinforce healing and peace. Many people find EFT beneficial because it addresses both the emotional and physical symptoms triggered by trauma. The tapping stimulates the body's energy pathways, which can help reduce the intensity of the traumatic memories stored in the body. By repeating affirmations during tapping, you reprogram your mind to release fear and embrace safety and healing. The inclusion of phrases like “I am safe,” “I am supported,” and “My body deserves peace” aligns with the principles of trauma release and nervous system regulation. For best results, practicing this trauma EFT script regularly is essential. Each session can deepen your emotional relaxation and shift your mindset from trauma-focused to healing-focused. Going slowly and breathing deeply ensures you remain compassionate and grounded during the process. If strong emotions arise, it is encouraged to pause and offer yourself kindness, as this affirms your body’s intelligence in healing. In addition to tapping, integrating complementary approaches such as mindful breathing, meditation, and professional support can strengthen trauma recovery. For individuals new to EFT, starting with this script can build confidence and a greater connection with your body’s healing capacity. Consistent EFT practice empowers you to reclaim control, reduce anxiety, and foster long-lasting emotional resilience. Remember, trauma is often stored in the body as unprocessed energy or tension. EFT tapping offers a gentle yet powerful tool to release these blockages, inviting safety and freedom to flourish. This trauma EFT script serves as a compassionate guide to help you honor your journey and affirm your right to heal and feel safe each day.
