This book was absolutely traumatizing, but oh so captivating. I wouldn't say it's a dark "romance" but its definitely DARK. I could not put this down. I struggled the whole time with how I felt about the MMC and I know thats exactly what Nina G. Jones wanted the reader to feel, but man, i have never felt so conflicted over characters in a book before. I LOVED Vesper and adored how her struggles with herself and her feelings towards Sam felt so real and raw and unpolished and harsh.
