Growth never happens inside of your comfort zone 🍃

Before hiring a coach myself, I was terrified of the word “maintenance”. I didn’t want to “maintain” my body- I wanted to change it. But no matter how low I took my calories, or how hard I pushed myself in the gym, or how long I stayed to do extra cardio- nothing stuck except how insecure I felt in my own body.

I had been in a “deficit” for as long as I could remember. I worked full-time, built a business, and went to school while still managing to get in the gym 6x a week and cut my calories lower and lower. Eventually, my body just was still holding onto fat no matter WHAT I did. I was losing EVERYTHING but body fat- patience, energy and joy. But not body fat 🫠

I finally realized that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. And I knew the only way I would commit to a “maintenance” phase was if I had someone who’s coaching style aligned with mine telling me “Your good, girl- this is the right move.”

And I am SO grateful I took the leap that I’ve had dozens of clients take. I was able to talk the talk, but I had to really walk the walk by being the client for once, to see the change I desired.

Here’s what happened when I slowed down and fueled my body instead of constantly fighting growth:

✨My next fat loss phase was WAY more successful than it had been since 2022.

✨I never, not ONCE felt deprived- I ate foods I love and STILL made progress

✨My relationship with food healed, I wasn’t starving all the time, and I didn’t feel out of control around food.

✨The scale had no power over me anymore, it became DATA, not my holy grail

✨I learned to trust my body, but my body learned to trust ME back.

My current goal:

Stay in a deficit until Halloween, because I set a goal and I finish what I start.

Then, I’ll move back into maintenance to close 2025, keep building muscle, and shape my physique even more in 2026. Because I am worthy of having my dream body, and I am worthy of doing it in a way that’s sustainable and still allows me to enjoy my life and love my body every step of the way.

Let’s keep building our dream bodies, while living our dream lives 🦋
