The meat was firm and juicy. Meat was softer than usual and had a little different flavor. Still juicy. I’ll be canning more.
I canned “hamburgers” this week. Pretty pleased with it.
Directions:
* I salted my ground beef lightly before pressing out my burgers.
*4 1/2” hamburger press to make them uniform.
*Put on a large sheet pan and broil until light brown on both sides. Discard liquid from pan.
*Stacked 6 patties to a wide mouth quart jar.
*Pressure canned 90 minutes.
Notes
I will be adding an onion slice between each burger next time for extra flavor of separating the patties are a great idea.
