TikTok is being banned….
I know the app can be super toxic but TikTok being banned is soul crushing to me. I know, first world problems… but I’m going take my moment to vent.
I finally have my dream of being a micro influencer. I have 11.2k followers. I know not a lot at all but, I’m making a tiny bit of money and I’m having fun. I’m actually getting small collaborations and what not. Now I’m gonna have to go to instagram which I have a hard time getting into and growing on. TikTok was like a golden TikTok to getting noticed. I found my community and it’s beautiful. I LOVE the GLP-1 folks. I love the community of weight loss accounts. It’s just so lovely. I am so upset and I know we saw this coming for a long time but I held out hope for so long. I’m really bummed. I guess I’m going to cross post everything and hope my growth moves to other platforms. 🫶🏻
Thank you for letting me rant and be a baby. ✨
As TikTok faces potential bans in various regions, many users are feeling the impact deeply. For micro influencers, the app has been a pivotal platform for growth and engagement, fostering communities around niche topics like wellness and weight loss. This sudden shift raises questions about how influencers can transition to other platforms such as Instagram or Facebook, which may not have the same organic reach or community feel. Cross-posting content becomes essential, yet adapting to the algorithms and audience preferences on new platforms can be challenging. Moreover, the emotional toll of losing a beloved platform shouldn’t be underestimated. Many users have bonded over shared experiences and content on TikTok, creating a unique environment for flourishing influences. With the looming transition, it's important for influencers to strategize, consider their audience's needs, and remain resilient during this challenging time. Additionally, engaging with followers authentically on other platforms can help maintain a sense of community and connection. It’s a difficult moment, but with creativity and adaptability, influencers can continue to thrive in the evolving social media landscape.

It definitely sucks, but another will rise from the ashes and may even be better who knows. I believe it's a control thing and personally see nothing wrong with tiktok nor do I see it as a security threat. To much info I believe is put out there. News hits tiktok b4 it hits the nightly news.
