Reliving Moments of Chicago in December

I planned a weekend getaway for my friends and I last year to Chicago and wanted to share some of my favorite moments. The way that I love downtown Chicago so much is unreal!

Keep Moments:

- Stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel on Magnificent Mile. In my opinion, it is the absolute best location to stay if you plan on shopping and wanting easy access to food and other places.

- We had brunch at Nico‘s restaurant that wasn’t too far from the hotel. I originally scheduled a reservation, but I want to say they accepted walk-ins as well. A great place to go for standard meals.

- We took an Uber to the restaurant but decided to walk back since the walk wasn’t that far from the hotel. Between well-known store fronts and hotels and apartments, we witnessed so many beautiful buildings.

- Though we knew that the best deep dish pizza wasn’t going to be in a super popular place, for the sake of staying in the city we decided to go to Giordano’s Pizza to at least experience a deep dish pizza. Very cheesy but overall really delicious.

- On our way to the mall we stopped by a pretty large candy store. We went there mainly for the experience, but there were a lot of really delicious sweet treats. Pricing was very touristy to be honest.

- We decided to buy tickets to Jack Frost Christmas pop-up shop. It wasn’t as busy considering it was raining that entire day, but we still went for the photos and just to say that we went, lol. We made the best out of it and it was still very fun.

- One of the evenings we were there, we went to Trivoli Tavern since we read a lot of great reviews about this place. Though our meals were delicious, the standout moment for myself and my friends was the Caesar salad. It was the star of the show for our table and we could not stop talking about how delicious it was. 😂

- to end off our trip one of our friends had suggested we attend a basketball game. We were able to get our tickets at a great price, so we decided on our last night to attend a Bulls game. The Bulls won that night, which was really cool.

Overall, for a super quick trip it was honestly one of the best. I wasn’t able to go again this year but I will definitely be back next year around the summer time (hopefully!). The architecture alone is worth going to see.
