The best mascara & eyeliner! ☆
So I wore these from 9:30 AM to midnight! I went to work with them on & still look great after my 8 hr shift. (Wish I have a better before picture HAHA) No smudging or fading 🤯 highly recommend these products (they may work great for you too!) I didn't even use setting spray.
Just so you guys can get a better idea. I work as a bedside nurse so it can get pretty sweaty with all the moving around and lifting/turning patients. I have oily skin around the area too so makeup in that area tends to smudge if I don’t use setting spray.
These would make perfect gifts for makeup girlies out there this holiday season 🤗
Okay, fellow beauty lovers with oily lids, let's get real. If you're anything like me, you've probably experienced the dreaded 'raccoon eyes' by noon, even after carefully applying your makeup. It's frustrating to put in all that effort only to have your eyeliner migrate and your mascara smudge. My job as a nurse means I'm constantly on the go, often sweating, and dealing with unavoidable face-touching – all perfect conditions for makeup meltdown. That's why finding a reliable long-wear eye routine isn't just a preference, it's a necessity! Beyond just finding the right products, there are a few steps I've incorporated into my routine that make a huge difference. First off, a good eye primer is a game-changer. Even if I'm not using setting spray on my face, a tiny dab of primer on my lids before any liner or shadow creates a smooth canvas and helps everything grip better. Then, I lightly set my primer with a translucent powder – just a whisper to absorb excess oil throughout the day. Now, let's talk about holding that curl and getting a subtle, polished look. For mascara, I always start with an eyelash curler. A good, firm curl is essential. Then, for a natural, daytime vibe, I opt for a mascara that’s specifically formulated to be waterproof and curl-holding. The Japanese mascaras, like the one I've tried (hinted at by the packaging with Japanese text in the OCR!), are often fantastic for this – they really lock in the curl and resist smudging. I apply one or two thin coats, wiggling the wand from base to tip, focusing on defining rather than adding too much volume for an everyday look. The key is to let each coat dry slightly before the next. For eyeliner, especially with oily lids, liquid or gel formulas tend to perform better than pencils. I look for something that dries quickly to a matte finish and is explicitly labeled 'smudge-proof' and 'waterproof.' For a subtle look, a thin line along the upper lash line is usually enough. Sometimes I just tightline (applying liner to the upper waterline) for definition without a noticeable line. The black liquid eyeliner I've been loving (as seen in the OCR image) is incredibly resilient. And here’s a bonus tip: after applying your eye makeup, try to avoid touching your eyes as much as possible. It sounds obvious, but it's easy to forget! If you feel some oil building up, a quick, gentle blot with a clean finger or a blotting paper around your orbital bone can help, without disturbing your liner or mascara. What I love about my current eye product duo is that even after a long, intense day at work, my eye makeup still looks fresh and intact, just like in my after-shift selfie. And the best part? Despite being so long-wearing and smudge-proof, they're surprisingly easy to remove at the end of the day with a good oil-based cleanser, which is crucial for eye health. These small tweaks, combined with the right products, mean I can confidently tackle my day without worrying about my eye makeup betraying me!
