Quick GRWM

But honestly, a quick GRWM (Get Ready With Me) routine can make all the difference in boosting your mood and productivity, even if your 'office' is the living room. My own morning routine has become a strategic mission to feel human and presentable, usually with a tiny human or a loving husband making guest appearances in the background! Here’s how I manage my quick GRWM makeup routine to go from 'just rolled out of bed' to 'ready to tackle emails' in under 15 minutes, embracing the chaos that comes with being a mom who loves makeup: Step 1: Skincare First (3 minutes) Even on the busiest mornings, a splash of cold water, a quick swipe of toner, and a hydrating serum are non-negotiable. I finish with a lightweight moisturizer with SPF – multi-tasking is key! It wakes up my skin and creates a smooth canvas for makeup, making sure my skin feels fresh and protected even if I'm just staying home. Step 2: Base & Conceal (4 minutes) Forget full-coverage foundation when you're short on time. I opt for a tinted moisturizer or a CC cream for light, natural coverage that evens out my skin tone without feeling heavy. Then, a good under-eye concealer is my absolute secret weapon for looking awake, even after a sleepless night. I dab it on with my finger for speed and blend lightly – no brushes needed on these hurried mornings! Step 3: Brows & Lashes (3 minutes) Defined brows frame your face beautifully and instantly make you look more put-together. A quick brush through with a tinted brow gel is all I need to add some color and hold. For my lashes, a few wiggles of mascara open up my eyes instantly. On these super quick GRWM days, I skip liner or shadow entirely, but sometimes if I have an extra 30 seconds I’ll do a quick sweep of a neutral matte shade. Step 4: A Pop of Color (2 minutes) This is where I bring some life back to my face! A cream blush stick is fantastic because you can just swipe it on your cheeks and blend with your fingers. It gives a natural, dewy flush that looks like you just got a good night's sleep. Sometimes, I even use a tiny bit on my lips for a cohesive, natural look. Otherwise, a quick swipe of a tinted lip balm or gloss does the trick to keep my lips hydrated and add a hint of color. Step 5: Quick Hair Fix (3 minutes) While not makeup, it's definitely part of my GRWM routine! Dry shampoo is my absolute best friend. A quick spritz, a messy bun, or a simple ponytail can make you look polished and ready for video calls without much effort. It’s all about working with what you’ve got and making it look intentional! This quick GRWM isn't about perfection; it's about showing up for yourself and feeling good. It’s about leveraging those precious few minutes to feel confident and ready to conquer your day, whether it’s client calls or chasing after a toddler. What are your go-to quick GRWM tips for busy mornings?
