Lip balm Review 🌷pink coded

I was sticking with the Laneige for a minute, but I’ve decided to try to Naturium and I honestly think Naturium works way better with lip liner.

For a long time, the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm, particularly the Berry shade, was my absolute go-to. It's incredibly popular, and for good reason – it offers a beautiful, juicy sheen that instantly makes lips look fuller and healthier. I loved the subtle, sweet scent and how easy it was to swipe on for a quick boost of color. My experience with the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Berry definitely highlights its strengths. When it comes to shine/gloss, it truly earns its 9/10 rating. It delivers a high-wattage, wet-look gloss that's perfect for achieving that 'glass skin' effect on your lips. The pigment (8/10) in the Berry shade is a lovely sheer wash of color, enhancing my natural lip tone without being too bold. It's ideal for those days when you want a hint of tint but don't want to commit to a full lipstick. However, for hydration (6/10), I always felt it was more of a superficial moisturizer. It felt great on application, but if my lips were truly chapped or dry, I found myself reapplying quite often. It's more of a cosmetic balm for instant plumpness than a deeply healing treatment. Curiosity eventually led me to try the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in Petal, and honestly, it's been a game-changer for my routine. The Phyto-Glow balm has a different vibe entirely. The Petal shade is a soft, natural pink that's incredibly flattering and versatile. What immediately struck me was the hydration (8/10) – it feels much more nourishing and long-lasting than the Laneige. My lips genuinely feel softer and more conditioned throughout the day, even after the initial shine wears off. It has a slightly thicker, more substantial texture that really feels like it's sinking into the lips. In terms of pigment (8/10), the Petal shade offers a beautiful, subtle tint, similar to the Laneige Berry, providing a natural flush without being overwhelming. The shine/gloss (7/10) is also fantastic, though slightly less intense than the Laneige. It's more of a healthy, luminous sheen rather than an ultra-glossy finish. And this slightly less intense gloss, surprisingly, is exactly why I think Naturium works way better with lip liner. This was my biggest discovery! With the super-glossy Laneige, I sometimes found that my lip liner would feather or smudge a little, especially if I wasn't careful with application. The slickness made it harder for the liner to really 'lock in.' But with the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm, it's a completely different story. The more nourishing, slightly less slippery texture provides the perfect canvas for lip liner. My liner stays put, blends seamlessly, and the balm just enhances the overall look without making it bleed or smudge. It's become my secret weapon for polished, long-lasting lip looks. So, which one should you pick? If you're all about maximum, juicy gloss and a light, fruity tint, and deep hydration isn't your top priority, the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Berry is a fantastic choice. It's a classic for a reason! But if you prioritize long-lasting hydration, a comfortable non-sticky feel, and especially if you love wearing lip liner and want your balm to enhance it, then the Naturium Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in Petal is definitely worth trying. For me, it's become my everyday essential, especially when I want my lip liner to look flawless.
