Children’s podcasts: storytelling for toddlers

Children’s podcasts are such a great alternative to screen time. It’s like a free version of Tonys or Yoto player. Picture reading a story to your children, but with a narrator doing it for you. I’ve listed a few of mine and my children’s faves below.

Obviously finding the best stories that your children will love and interact with comes with trial and error but, here are our top 3 favorites to jumpstart you.

🤍Lingokids: this one uses educational stories in a format for kids to understand. It talks about a range of things from “why do we have dreams?“ to “how to nurture plants” to “why our bodies need water..” I really like that it’s teaching while keeping their curious minds occupied.

🤍Gardenkeeper Gus: this one is focused on a 6 year old boy named Gus and his squirrel friend Rel. They go exploring on many different adventures from “collecting seashells at the beach” to learning how to “make a salad” to “having play dates” and making new friends. It toggles from a 6 year olds perspective which is super relatable to kids and the narrators.

🤍Deep blue sea: this one is about climbing aboard a submarine to join underwater explorers Marina and Reef on awesome adventures in the magical oceans covering our planet. Children get to meet amazing sea creatures, learn tons of fun facts, and discover ways to protect the oceans these creatures call home. (I totally stole this from the description because I couldn’t articulate how to explain it to you guys lol)
