Hi guys! I just joined the app and trying to get the feel for it. My name is Sam and I am a small business owner who makes a variety of Soaps, Bodycare & Candles with fragrances within a 'Clean Scent Act'. This guideline allows the company to disclose any ingredients that may contain any Prop65 type warning used to create the Fragrance oil or dye. All of my products only contain Scents that DO NOT contain Carcinogens, Mutagens, Reproductive toxins, Organ toxins or Acute Toxins.
I began my journey into this after loosing my brother in 2017, when during my grieving process the Drs were trying to push the idea of medication to cope. It led me into many sleepless nights and weeks into research, which we all know how rabbit holes go! After learning about how many of the daily products we use, affect us not only physically but mentally, I strived for the change. And then it clicked- My son who had struggled with skin issues for years, was a product of the cycle. All the soaps, lotions, medications- were going to keep us in their system and he would never fully heal. So I began to create our own soaps and body butters to not only soothe his skin, but heal it. (Which might I add- we did have to change some ingredients in our diet as well)
But after such good results with not only him, but the change in my skin as well, I began to gift many of my products for years to family, friends and coworkers. And after a nudge by my family to share publicly, I created Be Lathered Soaps & More in January 2023.
