✨ Rating: 3.5/5 will go back again only for the matcha strawberry
what we got:
🍓🍵 - 5/5
strong strawberry milk taste with a foamy matcha cream
i love the combination even tho the strawberry was a little more sweet and overpowering but the bitterness of the matcha cuts in nicely ✨✨✨
🥪 - 2.5/5
pork katsu sando
tbh i think i had too high of an expectation for this sando but it was tough (probably cuz of the cut of the meat) and hard to eat (as expected)
i wouldn’t get it again but if you love pork then mayb u could try it!!
🍟 - 3.5/5
crispy and hot truffle fries i love it
cant go wrong with truffle fries 🤩🥰
if ure gg to the thomson branch, please do urself a favour and make a reservation before heading down because the seats outside are so hot and dirty with dustbins and cars and smokers in near proximity 💀
luckily the staff was kind enough to let us change our seats once there was an empty seat inside
🙏🏼 (love the service there)
but sadly this branch don’t accept cdc vouchers 😭

The outdoor seating can get quite uncomfortable with the heat, nearby dustbins, and passing smokers, which might affect your overall experience. However, the staff are attentive—they allowed us to switch to indoor seating when a spot became available, which made a big difference.
Beyond the popular matcha strawberry drink, which balances sweetness and bitterness perfectly, the menu offers other items that may interest you. For example, the pork katsu sando might not suit everyone, especially if you prefer tender meat, but meat lovers could still find it worth trying. The truffle fries are a safe bet—crispy, hot, and packed with flavor.
Note that this branch currently doesn't accept CDC vouchers, so plan accordingly. Also, the price point was $50 for two people, which felt reasonable given the quality and service.
Overall, Hello Arigato offers a nice café experience in Upper Thomson, especially if you enjoy matcha-based drinks and are looking for a cozy local spot to unwind. Just be prepared to book in advance and maybe skip the pork katsu sando if you’re particular about texture.
