Can I give you a piece of advice that’s worth more than pride?
When she gets mad at you and walks away… follow her.
Not to argue. To hold her until the tremor in her soul passes.
When she lingers, looking at your lips… don’t think: just kiss her.
Even if she’s upset. Even if she says she doesn’t want to see you.
When she says she can’t take it anymore, don’t leave her alone in her storm.
Hold her so tight that she feels nothing can break while she’s with you.
When you see her hair in disarray and her eyes dim,
tell her she’s beautiful. Not because you’re lying, but because she forgot to see it herself.
When she cries, don’t interrogate her. Just hold her.
Make her know she doesn’t have to be okay to deserve love.
When she’s scared, don’t force her to be strong.
Make her feel that you are her safe place.
When she says, “Nothing’s wrong”…
take even better care of her. Don’t ask too much. Just stay.
And if she seems down, sad, or unmotivated…
invite her to walk, to look at the sky, to laugh without reason.
Make her feel that she’s your priority.
That no other gaze can steal your eyes when she’s near.
Give her kisses that linger in her memory,
and hugs that heal even what she never said.
You don’t need money to make her happy.
You need presence, loyalty, honesty, and a sincere way of saying, “I love you.”
Because I tell you from the heart:
the happiest moments of my life weren’t when I had the most money…
they were when I had her.
