My baby Dragon S’more❤️

Seeing S'more, my sweet baby bearded dragon, always brightens my day! He's truly part of the family, and I love sharing his beautiful colors and unique personality with everyone. You know, he's a pretty chill guy. Just the other day, he was comfortably perched on my black knitted sleeve while I was deep into a gaming session with my Xbox controller. It's moments like these that really show how much trust and bonding you can build with these amazing reptiles. S'more, being a light-colored bearded dragon, really stands out, and his bright scales are always a conversation starter. But beyond their stunning looks, bearded dragons have distinct personalities. Some are super outgoing, always exploring, while others, like S'more, are content to just hang out and observe. They're surprisingly intelligent and can even learn to recognize their owners. To keep them happy and healthy, a proper setup is crucial. Their enclosure needs the right lighting – UVB is non-negotiable for their bone health – and a basking spot where they can soak up warmth. Temperature gradients are vital, allowing them to regulate their body temperature. Diet is another big one; S'more absolutely loves his fresh greens, like collard greens and dandelion greens, supplemented with insect feeders like crickets and dubia roaches dusted with calcium. Providing variety keeps them engaged and ensures they get all their nutrients. Beyond the basics, enrichment plays a huge role. Things like safe branches to climb, hides to retreat into, and even supervised out-of-enclosure time can make a world of difference. When S'more was little, I spent time hand-feeding him and gently handling him every day to build his confidence. Now he’s super comfortable being held and even enjoys watching movies with me, often just relaxing on my shoulder or, as you saw, my sleeve. It's so rewarding to see them thrive and become such beloved companions. They might not cuddle like a fluffy cat or dog, but the unique bond you form with a bearded dragon is truly special and full of quiet joy. Every day with S'more is an adventure!
