Understanding the underlying causes of hair damage is essential in order to provide effective solutions. One of the key factors in hair damage is moisture retention; hair that lacks moisture can become brittle and prone to breakage. To combat this, it is vital to establish a proper hair care routine. Start with using cool or lukewarm water instead of hot water during showers, as hot water can strip essential oils from your hair. You might also consider the use of moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, specifically designed for dry or damaged hair. These products often contain ingredients like argan oil, coconut oil, or shea butter that can help restore hydration. Moreover, avoid overusing heat tools such as flat irons and curling wands. If heat styling is necessary, always apply a heat protectant spray to minimize damage. Incorporating regular hair masks into your weekly routine can also provide an extra boost of moisture, enhancing the appearance and health of your hair. Lastly, sleeping with damp hair can lead to tangling and further damage. Opting for protective hairstyles, such as braids or wearing a silk bonnet, can preserve your hair's health while you sleep. Implementing these practices will aid in improving hair health, leading to stronger and more resilient strands.

Just to be honest, I sometimes use hot water for my scalp because even though your hair feels like it has full volume, your scalp is still dirty but after what i'm done racing all that out, I rinse it with cold water
