LETS BE FISHERMEN OF MEN✝️🫶🏽🗣️🔥💯😮‍💨🤭🙌🙏

2025/9/6 Edited to

... Read moreLately, I’ve been spending a lot of time reflecting on Matthew 28:19-20 NIV, often called the Great Commission. It’s a passage that truly stirs my spirit and makes me think about my purpose. For those unfamiliar, it says, 'Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.' It’s more than just words on a page; it’s a living call to action that resonates deeply within me. When I first read about 'Fishermen of Men,' I used to think it meant I had to stand on a street corner with a megaphone. But I've learned that sharing your faith can take so many forms, and it's often much more subtle and impactful than grand gestures. It's about how we live our lives daily. For me, it starts with prayer and asking God, 'How can I truly make the world around you more just today?' This question has opened my eyes to so many opportunities right in my own community. One way I’ve found to live out this commission is by actively looking for ways to show mercy. It might be listening patiently to a friend in need, offering a kind word to someone struggling, or even volunteering my time at a local shelter. These small acts of kindness, I believe, reflect God's love and mercy to those who might not otherwise experience it. It's not about being perfect, but about being present and compassionate. Another powerful aspect of Matthew 28:19-20 for me is the call to humble yourself and magnify God. This means stepping back from my own desires and ego, and truly putting God first. For example, instead of always chasing personal achievements, I've tried to dedicate more of my energy to serving others, whether it's through simple acts of service in my church or helping a neighbor with their groceries. It's amazing how much joy and purpose this brings. Magnifying God isn't just about praising Him with words, but with our actions, allowing His light to shine through us so others can see Him. Making disciples doesn't just mean converting people. It's about walking alongside others, mentoring them, and helping them grow in their own understanding of faith. It’s a journey, not a destination. I've found that simply living authentically and being open about my faith journey encourages others to explore theirs. We're all in this together, learning and growing. So, as I continue to live by the profound message of Matthew 28:19-20 NIV, I challenge myself, and perhaps you too, to think: how can you share your faith today? How can you contribute to making the world around you more just? How can you show mercy and truly humble yourself and magnify God in your everyday life? It's a powerful call, and one that promises His constant presence: 'And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.' Let's embrace it together!
