Korio📍
Having visited Korio myself, I can attest that it's a hidden gem for brunch and lunch lovers in Singapore, especially near Bugis Station. What really stands out for me are the expertly crafted sandwiches and donuts. The Grilled Cheese and Mushroom Melt offer a delightful vegetarian option with rich, gooey cheese and perfectly sautéed mushrooms. For meat lovers, the Brisket sandwich is a hearty choice, generously loaded with slow-cooked brisket, mozzarella, pickled elements, and horseradish mayo on sourdough bread. While the brisket could be a bit saltier to enhance its flavor, it still delivers a satisfying experience. One personal favorite was the "Chook" sandwich, which had a distinct savory taste and was incredibly satisfying. Also, the corn ribs served there are definitely worth a try; they bring an unexpected smoky and spicy twist that complements the other dishes well. The donuts at Korio are a surprise too—not overly sweet, soft, and packed with flavor. They make a perfect light treat after the sandwiches. Since the place is a short walk from Bugis Station Exit D, it’s very convenient for a quick meal or takeaway. Overall, Korio is an excellent spot to enjoy a casual yet tasty meal, especially if you're looking to explore some less mainstream but highly delicious Singaporean brunch options.
