Girl Talk: Gym 🧘🏼‍♀️

I used to think fitness was only about weight loss. But after a year in the gym, I realized movement is medicine. The gym helps me mentally and physically it’s my therapy, my reset, my way of not staying stuck in bed all day.

My Gym Routine recently

• Monday & Friday: Pilates at home (working on balance, flexibility, and core strength) I walk with my mom and dog at the end of the day for cardio

• Tuesday - Thursday: Weightlifting at the gym (still love that strength-building feeling) at the end cardio of any type like stair masters or treadmill

After over a year of consistent lifting and muscle gains, I realized I wasn’t seeing as much change in body fat as I wanted. I still love my body but I want to keep improving. So I’m giving this new split a try for a month to see how my body responds.

The gym to me is about feeling strong, moving better, and building habits that make me proud. I’ve learned that loving your body doesn’t mean you stop improving it means you’re doing it from a place of care, not hate.

If you feel like you’re stuck or unmotivated it’s remember you can try new things. Listen to your body. Move in a way that feels good. You don’t have to go hard every day you just have to keep going in a way that supports you.
