I struggle to surrender this as a Christian…
Just out here trying to make Jesus the main character and it is NOT a natural human response from me tbh
Surrendering control in the Christian faith is a journey filled with both struggle and growth. Many believers find it difficult to fully surrender their lives to Jesus because it challenges natural human instincts for independence and control. From my own experience, making Jesus the main character requires daily effort and intentional reflection. One way to deepen this surrender is through prayer and meditation on scripture that reminds us of Christ’s love and guidance. When we consistently place our trust in Jesus, we gradually replace fear and doubt with peace and confidence. It also helps to engage with a supportive community that encourages vulnerability and accountability. I have found journaling about my struggles and victories in surrender helpful, creating a tangible record of growth over time. It’s important to acknowledge that surrender is not a one-time event but an ongoing conversation with God. When resistance arises, I remind myself that true freedom comes from relinquishing control, allowing Jesus to lead. Additionally, incorporating worship and praise into daily routines can realign focus toward Jesus as the main character of life’s story. Embracing this spiritual discipline is transformative and helps counteract the natural human resistance mentioned. By sharing these insights, I hope to encourage those who find surrender challenging. Remember, the journey is deeply personal, and it’s okay to struggle. What matters is the commitment to keep returning to Jesus and allowing Him to shape your path.
