My girls & I have been studying the Beatitudes together lately, and I thought I’d share a little bit of what we’re learning🤍

The Beatitudes aren’t just beautiful verses to read… they’re an invitation to live differently.

In a world that celebrates pride, power, and success, Jesus calls us to humility, mercy, purity, peacemaking, and faithfulness even when it’s costly!!

If you’ve never slowed down to study Matthew 5, I hope this encourages you to. There’s so much wisdom packed into the opening words of the Sermon on the Mount, and they reveal what a life shaped by Christ truly looks like :))

Studying the Beatitudes alongside my daughters has been a transformative experience, showing me how these ancient teachings remain deeply relevant today. The Beatitudes, found in Matthew 5, aren't just poetic verses—they're a call to embody Christ-like qualities in our daily lives. In a culture that often values pride and worldly success, these verses challenge us to pursue humility, mercy, purity, and peacemaking. As we reflected together, we noticed how each Beatitude offers practical wisdom to navigate modern challenges, encouraging patience and kindness even when it's difficult. One way I connect with this scripture in everyday life is by seeing simple moments as opportunities to practice these virtues. For example, when enjoying a cup of coffee with friends, I remind myself to bring patience and gentleness into conversations. The OCR text mentioning qualities like kindness, faithfulness, and self-control resonates with how I try to turn daily routines into faith practice. It’s about living the Beatitudes not just in big moments but through consistent, small acts of goodness. Taking just a minute to reflect on Matthew 5 helps me center my day on values that truly matter. This practice nurtures a faith-driven mindset and encourages me to walk with Jesus by prioritizing others’ welfare and embracing humility. If you’ve never paused to explore this passage deeply, I highly recommend setting aside a moment each day to meditate on one Beatitude at a time. It has enriched my spiritual life and deepened my understanding of what it means to live a life shaped by Christ’s love and grace.
