SUGAH PLEASE!😩 Restaurant Review

So, my friend I went to this new restaurant located in downtown Detroit called “Sugah Please”! And honestly it was an amazing experience. My friend had fried chicken and waffles with a side of cheese grits and I ordered the salmon shrimp and grits with peach flavored sweet tea. Overall the meal was a 10/20! Very seasoned and flavorful! Also, the customer service was perfect ❤️ i can’t wait to go back and enjoy their food again.

... Read moreWalking into Sugah Please in downtown Detroit, I immediately felt a vibrant energy that promised a truly special meal. After hearing so much buzz, I was eager to dive into their menu, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My friend and I went for a delightful brunch, and from the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was just right – lively enough to feel fun, but cozy enough for a relaxed meal. Now, let's talk about the food, because that's what everyone wants to know in a Sugah Please menu review, right? My friend ordered the fried chicken and waffles, and I swear, the aroma alone was mouth-watering. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired beautifully with the fluffy, golden waffles. The side of cheese grits she got was incredibly creamy and seasoned just right – a true Southern comfort. I opted for the salmon shrimp and grits, and it was a revelation. The grits were smooth and rich, topped with perfectly cooked salmon and succulent shrimp, all swimming in a savory sauce that had just the right amount of spice. And that peach-flavored sweet tea? It was the perfect complement, refreshing and sweet without being cloying. Honestly, for a breakfast or brunch spot, their offerings go beyond expectations. What truly elevates a dining experience, though, is the service, and at Sugah Please, it was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure we had a great time. This kind of customer service really makes you want to go back. It's not just about the food; it's the whole package. When I'm looking for a new place to try, a full review like this helps, and I can confidently say the staff here contributed massively to our 10/10 experience. Beyond what we tried, I glanced at other tables, and everything looked amazing. It seems like their menu covers a wide range of comfort food classics, making it a fantastic spot for anyone craving a hearty meal. If you're planning a visit, especially for brunch, I'd recommend going a bit early on weekends as it can get quite popular, which is a testament to its quality. The location in downtown Detroit also makes it super convenient if you're exploring the city. Sugah Please isn't just a restaurant; it's a Detroit gem where every dish feels like it's made with love and every visit leaves you feeling satisfied and planning your next trip back. It's definitely earned a spot on my list of must-visit eateries.
