Couple Planning Meeting

If you’re married, got kids, work full-time, AND trying to build something? BABYYYY… life be life-ing. 🫠

One minute you’re planning date night, the next you’re tryna figure out who’s picking up the kids and why is the fridge empty again?!

Me and Tru were feeling it too—busy, moving, but not always together. So we decided to do something about it:

We had a Couple Planning Meeting. 📅 Music? Check. Goals? Check. Intimacy plans? You know we did (👀).

Because real love ain’t just about surviving. It’s about aligning, building, and thriving. 💕

✨ We talked about:

• Big family goals

• Money moves

• Kids’ schedules (whew!)

• Our dreams and connection 💭

And listen… it hit DIFFERENT knowing we’re on the same page. 🖤

Want the agenda we used to get aligned and stay connected? Drop the word ALIGN in the comments, and I’ll send it straight to you!

Let’s stop surviving and start thriving, together. 🙌🏾

Tag your partner or a couple you know who needs this! #CoupleGoals #IntentionalLove #OsborneAndAligned #TheOsborneLove #Loveandmarriage #familyplanning

... Read moreOkay, so you've heard about the magic of a couple planning meeting, and you might be thinking, 'Where do we even start?' Trust me, I was there too! After realizing my partner and I were just surviving, not thriving, we decided to get intentional. Here's a deeper dive into how we make our meetings effective and some key topics you absolutely won't want to skip, so you can truly 'plan and prosper' together! First off, set the mood! This isn't a business meeting; it's a sacred space for your relationship. We love putting on some chill music, grabbing a favorite snack or drink, and making it feel like a mini-date. Pick a time when you’re both relaxed, without distractions – no phones! We usually aim for a quiet evening once a month, or sometimes a longer quarterly session to cover bigger goals. Remember that feeling of having "calendars in our hand" and trying to juggle everything? This meeting is when you unify those calendars. Now, for the juicy part: the agenda! This is where you address "all the things we need to plan." Think of it as a blueprint for your shared life. 1. Reflection & Appreciation: Start by sharing what went well since your last meeting. What did you appreciate about your partner? What challenges did you overcome together? This sets a positive tone. 2. Individual & Shared Goals: What are your personal goals for the next month, quarter, or year? How can you support each other? Then, what are your shared goals – financially, personally, professionally? This could be anything from saving for a down payment to planning a dream vacation or starting a new hobby together. 3. Financial Check-in: Money can be a huge stressor, so tackle it head-on. Review your budget, discuss upcoming expenses, savings goals, and any significant financial decisions. Transparency here is key for long-term "alignment," which, as the OCR said, "is sexy!" 4. Family & Home Management: This is where we dive into the nitty-gritty of kids' schedules (if you have them), household chores, meal planning, and upcoming appointments. Who's handling what? Are responsibilities evenly distributed? It’s about ensuring the home runs smoothly so you both feel supported. 5. Relationship & Intimacy: Don't skip this! Discuss date nights – when are they, what do they look like? How are you both feeling emotionally? Are your communication needs being met? This is also a great time to gently check in on your physical intimacy and how you can nurture that connection. This part is crucial for strengthening your marriage beyond just logistics. 6. Future Dreams & Visions: What does your ideal life look like in 1, 5, or 10 years? Talk about travel aspirations, potential moves, career shifts, or personal development. Dreaming together keeps your bond strong and gives you something exciting to work towards. Finally, decide on action steps. Who is responsible for what, and by when? Put these items directly into your shared calendar. A "couple meeting appointment plan" shouldn't just be about talking; it should lead to action. We found that having these dedicated "couple planning meeting" sessions has truly transformed our chaotic daily grind into intentional progress, helping us move from just 'being busy but not movin'' to truly thriving. Give it a try, you might be surprised how much closer you feel and how much more you accomplish!

Planning In College
How do you keep yourself organized in school? Personally I use a google calendar and a regular piece of paper to plan my assignments, classes, and meetings. Without planning, I would’ve failed classes or didn’t do as well as I did. Having a planner did in fact change my life 😊 #collegeplanner
