🤍 Why I wrote this series:
This story is deeply personal. I lost my dad when I was nine years old, and that loss shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand for years. I wrote A Child’s Journey Through Grief to give children a voice, to help them express what they’re feeling, and to remind them they are not alone.

Navigating grief as a child can be incredibly challenging, but having the right resources makes a significant difference. In my experience supporting children facing loss, books like "A Child’s Journey Through Grief" have proven to be invaluable tools. They not only validate children's feelings but also provide gentle guidance on how to process complex emotions. What resonates deeply in this series is how it approaches grief "one moment at a time," recognizing that healing is a gradual journey. The inclusion of creative activities, journaling prompts, and biblical scriptures in the companion book "Remember, Love, Celebrate" offers children constructive outlets to express their thoughts and feelings. This creative process often helps children articulate grief when words alone are hard to find. From my perspective, the value of such books extends beyond children—they serve as conversation starters for parents, teachers, counselors, and caregivers. Having an accessible way to talk about tough topics invites openness and fosters emotional connection. It is also comforting for children to see their experiences reflected in a story, reminding them that they are not alone in their feelings. Additionally, the titles such as "But I Don’t Want to Say GOODBYE!" and "It’s Ok To Be Happy!" address the multifaceted nature of grief, encouraging acceptance of all emotions, including joy and hope. This balanced portrayal helps dismantle the stigma around grief and supports healthy emotional development. If you’re seeking thoughtful resources to help a child cope with loss, this series is a heartfelt choice. It offers a compassionate and relatable approach, encouraging growth and hope without rushing the healing process. Supporting children through grief is vital, and these stories provide a meaningful pathway for that journey.
