Sin? Gods existence?

People often ask, “what about those that live up in mountains away from other people, how do they know about God?”

God says that he has made his existence known.

“and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12

“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

I recommend reading all of Romans 1 yourself, this is only a summary

But please remember that God loves you and wants a relationship with you, but sin separates us from God. We are the ones who choose to sin.

Yes, we all do sin but that’s exactly why Jesus died on the cross for us.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.” John 3:17-19

... Read moreHey everyone! I've been reflecting a lot lately on some profound questions, especially those that pop up when you start digging into faith. One of the biggest questions I often hear is, 'who made gods?' It truly makes you think about the very beginning and the nature of God himself. The article touched on this beautifully, reminding us that 'Gods existence has been made obvious.' When I read through Romans 1, it becomes so clear that God's 'invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen' through creation (as the OCR snippet from Verse 20 highlights). This means that even without a preacher or a Bible, people can observe the intricate design of the world and conclude there must be a Creator. It shifts the perspective from 'who made God?' to recognizing God as the uncreated, self-existent One who made everything. But then, why did humanity 'fell into sin'? Romans 1:21-23, as highlighted in the OCR, explains that despite knowing God, people 'traded that for false things to worship.' Instead of honoring the Creator, they began to worship 'things that they had made themselves.' This act of turning away from God's truth, exchanging it for a lie, is where sin truly began to take root. This rejection also leads to 'godlessness,' a state where God is intentionally left out of one's thoughts and actions, leading to moral decay. This is also where we start to see 'the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven' (Romans 1:18, mentioned in the OCR). It’s not just an arbitrary anger, but a consequence of suppressing the truth and actively choosing evil ways. The OCR mentions 'Gods wrath is against those who have ignored the truth and instead follow evil ways.' It's a natural outcome when humanity rejects God’s 'righteousness' and embraces wickedness, as further described in Romans 1:32: 'Sin leads to death and they not only follow sin but celebrate those who subsequently follow sin.' Another deep question that often comes up is about the 'unforgivable sin' or 'unpardonable sin.' It's a heavy topic that can cause a lot of anxiety. While the Bible does speak of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as a sin that cannot be forgiven, it's crucial to understand the context. This usually refers to a persistent and deliberate rejection of God's truth, actively attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to evil. However, the overwhelming message of scripture, and what Jesus taught, is that God’s grace is boundless. For those who acknowledge their sin and turn to Christ, there is forgiveness. As the original article beautifully states, 'Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”' This means that no matter how deep someone has 'fell into sin,' if they turn to Jesus, there is hope. I've found solace in the idea that 'some people have found god in the depths of their sins.' It’s a powerful testament to God's relentless love and mercy. Even when we make mistakes, even when our lives are far from perfect, God is ready to welcome us back. This journey of understanding sin, God's existence, and His immense grace has been incredibly transformative for me, and I hope exploring these 'romans 1:18-32 bible study questions' helps you too. It truly shows that God loves us and wants a relationship with us, despite our imperfections.
