Sharing my college sketchbook drawings has always been a fun way to look back at my artistic journey and growth. What I find most rewarding about keeping a sketchbook is that it captures spontaneous moments of creativity — sometimes it’s a random doodle of my dog Jinx, and other times it’s inspired by movies like the Rocky Horror Picture Show or characters like the Joker. These drawings aren’t always perfect; in fact, some like the failed Nadia doodle remind me that not every piece turns out as planned, but that’s part of the process and charm. I also experimented a lot with different pens and highlighters, which you can see from my colorful swatches page. Trying out various tools not only changes the look of the artwork but also keeps the creative process exciting. Doodling in college helped me relieve stress and stay engaged with my artistic side during hectic times. If you keep a sketchbook, I encourage you to share your favorites too—there’s always something uniquely personal about your doodles and sketches that can resonate with others.
