Chasing shadows

For me, it perfectly encapsulates those times when you’re pouring effort into something that feels intangible, something that slips through your fingers no matter how hard you try to grasp it. At its core, 'chasing shadows' is about pursuing something that is either unattainable, illusory, or ultimately without real substance. Think about it literally: a shadow isn't a solid object; you can't catch it. It moves with the light, constantly shifting. Metaphorically, it speaks volumes about our human experiences. I’ve come to realize it can manifest in so many different areas of life, and recognizing it is often the first step towards finding a different path. For instance, I remember a phase in my career where I felt like I was constantly 'chasing shadows.'
