Some of my favorite egg collecting photos!

I'm so happy to be collecting and harvesting eggs from my hens! We're currently at 17, waiting on 12 to come of age! I love taking photos of the rent collected sometimes they are just so satisfying to look at. 😍 I love my hens, they are checked and examined daily to ensure they are the healthiest and the strongest. Their eggs are inspected to make sure they are the best looking. I have a tracker and I check every single hen, and every single egg.... every single day. I'm so tickled to be in this position to begin a business doing something I truly enjoy. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #farmfresheggs #backyardraisedchickens #chickens #eggs #backyardfarming

There’s a special connection formed when you care for hens as individuals—monitoring their health, diet, and environment closely. Keeping a detailed tracker or journal, much like mentioned in the post, helps immensely in recognizing any changes in egg production or hen behavior early on. In my experience, regularly inspecting each egg for quality not only helps maintain high standards but also allows you to notice interesting variations like shell color and texture. These small details can tell you a lot about a hen’s diet and health. Also, photographs of your daily harvest can be quite satisfying to look back on; they capture the essence of your backyard farming efforts and show progress over time. Consistency is key—checking your hens daily, offering them nutritious feed, clean water, and safe shelter leads to happier, stronger birds that produce better eggs. Patience is necessary as younger hens grow and slowly come into their laying cycle, just as noted about waiting on 12 hens to come of age. Starting a small egg business from a hobby you love is incredibly fulfilling and can be a great way to connect with your local community. Promoting your eggs as 'farm-fresh' and demonstrating your dedication to quality through photos and updates helps build trust and interest. Overall, the combination of caring for hens, diligent record-keeping, and capturing memorable moments can turn backyard egg collecting into a rewarding lifestyle that nurtures both body and soul.
