Making Jinx's Gun From Arcane!

Wow, what a journey it's been so far trying to bring Jinx's iconic gun from Arcane to life! You know how it is – you see an amazing prop, and suddenly, you have to make it, even if you already have, let's say, '15 active projects' on the go! This isn't just any prop; it's Jinx's gun from Arcane, and getting it right is a huge challenge I'm so excited to tackle. My process started, like many prop makers, with getting all the pieces printed. Seeing the 'body fully printed' and 'all pieces printed' laid out was a mix of excitement and slight dread, knowing the work ahead. The sheer number of components for such a complex weapon means a lot of individual parts need meticulous attention. Then came the assembly, and honestly, 'this was such a pain' sometimes! Especially the 'part cleanup.' If you've ever dealt with 3D prints, you know the endless sanding, filing, and filling required to get that smooth, professional finish. It felt like I spent hours just on the tiny details, trying to get rid of every visible print line. Focusing on the 'handle progress' was particularly tricky. Getting the ergonomics right and ensuring it felt sturdy in hand, ready for action, took a lot of finessing.
