BTO 2nd Appointment - Sign Agreement for Lease 🏠

We’re back to HDB Hub for our second appointment to sign our agreement for lease hehe ✍️

1️⃣ Here are the required items to bring on the day of signing agreement for lease (second appointment):

📌 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠

• Identity Card of applicants

• Applicants' Singpass and 2FA methods (Singpass mobile app / SMS 2FA)

❗️if you’re required to pay the balance after deducting CPF, do remember to bring your NETS/debit card!

2️⃣ Here are the procedures on the day of signing agreement for lease (second appointment):

𝟏. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐮𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐤𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 🔢

We took our queue number from self-kiosk machine at 2:09pm! There are multiple TVs to show you the queue numbers to be called out.

𝟐. 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 🛂

At 2:16pm, our queue number is called! On the screen, it showed:

✨ Now Serving: AG495

✨ Counter / Level: 118 / L1

Next, we head into the counter and was assisted by a Customer Relations Executive. He talked us through on the documents required to sign.

𝟑. 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 ✍️

The documents to sign are stated below:

✨ Option on Manner of Holding of Flat

- Applicants indicate whether they wish to hold the flat under joint tenancy or tenancy in common.

✨ CPF Payment Document (via SingPass)

- Customer Relations Executive will ask the couple the percentage to split between the couple to pay the 5% downpayment using CPF OA (e.g. 50-50, 60-40) before logging in to SingPass to approve the document

✨ The Lease

- It sets out the lease terms of the HDB flat.

✨ The Memorandum of Lease

- It sets out the additional general lease administration terms of the HDB flat.

✨ The Agreement for Lease

- It sets out the sale terms of the HDB flat for buying a flat.

𝟒. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞 💌

The documents you will receive are:

✨ Agreement Order

✨ The Memorandum of Lease

𝟓. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 📸

The whole process took us 11mins as we do not need to pay any cash! Lastly, we took some pics with our HDB envelope!! 🤩

Taking a queue number from the self-service kiosk is a straightforward step, but arriving early helps you pick a good timing slot since the counters operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Keep an eye on the queue numbers displayed on the TVs so you won’t miss your turn. At the counter, a Customer Relations Executive will guide you through signing key documents. These include the lease options where you decide if you want joint tenancy or tenancy in common, as well as the CPF payment split if you’re applying as a couple. Don’t hesitate to ask the executive to clarify any terms; understanding each document ensures you’re fully informed. After signing, you’ll receive an envelope containing all your signed documents like the Agreement Order and the Memorandum of Lease. Don’t forget the mandatory photo—it’s part of the process and a fun way to commemorate this milestone! The entire process is surprisingly quick, taking me just about 11 minutes as no cash payment was needed. Planning ahead and knowing what to expect really helped me stay calm and focused. If you’re about to attend your second appointment, hopefully, these tips will help your visit go just as smoothly!
