We are incredibly grateful to the students and staff at Legacy Academy for the outpouring of support shown to our deputies during Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
Despite the cold, snowy weather, students bundled up and still showed up in a big way—collecting and donating thoughtful items including snacks, drinks, Lysol, notepads, and prayer cards for our deputies. They also took time to pray with our team and personally express their appreciation—something that truly means more than words can say.
Deputies from our Open Space, Traffic, SWAT, K9, MASU, and Community Engagement Units gathered to share coffee and donuts, answer questions, and connect with students throughout the day.
Thank you Legacy Academy, for thinking of us, praying for us, and for all that you do to support law enforcement! 🚓

Participating in events like Law Enforcement Appreciation Day truly highlights the importance of community support for those who serve and protect. From personal experience, I’ve found that such gestures—whether it’s donating supplies or simply spending time to engage with law enforcement—can strengthen mutual respect and understanding. The inclusion of prayer cards and moments of reflection is a beautiful way to offer emotional support, reminding officers they are valued beyond their duties. It’s inspiring to see how different departments, like SWAT and K9 units, take the time to connect personally, answering questions and sharing stories that humanize their work. These interactions not only boost morale but also educate the community on the challenges and responsibilities officers face. If you consider organizing a similar event, involving students and staff in collecting practical items like Lysol and notepads, alongside heartfelt messages, can make a big impact. Such thoughtful contributions help deputies feel appreciated and supported, especially during tough weather conditions or stressful times on duty. Ultimately, community-driven initiatives demonstrate solidarity and gratitude, fostering a safer and more connected environment for everyone.
