On April 23, 2026, APD requested assistance after two suspects fled from a vehicle stop and barricaded inside a garage in Albuquerque. Our K9 Unit responded to help bring it to a safe end.
K9 Hulk, with his handler Deputy Jojola, was deployed after warnings were given. Both suspects surrendered and were taken into custody.
The suspects were identified as Jeremy Valencia (28) and Kayla Svihula (36). They were booked on charges that include Aggravated Fleeing Law Enforcement and Burglary, and both had outstanding warrants.
