viral sushi dip… veganized 🌶️🥒
creamy, spicy, crunchy, and honestly one of the best snacky things I’ve made lately 😮💨
this veganized sushi-inspired dip uses shredded jackfruit, vegan mayo, thick yogurt, Fly By Jing Sweet & Spicy Chili Crisp, green onion, and nori for that savory umami flavor ✨
I served it with:
🥒 cucumber sticks + slices
🥨 pretzel bites
🍘 rice cakes with nori
🌊 seaweed sheets
and YES — it tastes amazing cold straight from the fridge 😂
✨ lighter tip:
use a little more yogurt than mayo for a fresher, creamier texture.

If you're looking to add a delicious vegan twist to your snack game, this sushi-inspired jackfruit dip is a game changer. From my own experience, using young green jackfruit replicates the flaky texture of seafood wonderfully, making it perfect for sushi-style dishes. To enhance the flavor even more, I like to add a splash of tamari for depth and a slight sweetness with a touch of maple syrup, balancing the spicy chili crisp. What truly elevates this dip is the combination of creamy vegan mayo and thick vegan yogurt. I personally prefer using a higher ratio of yogurt as it brightens the dip, giving it a lighter, fresher feel that pairs well with crunchy snacks. Incorporating nori and sesame seeds not only adds authentic umami aroma but also a fun texture contrast. Serving ideas go beyond what’s mentioned: this dip works great as a filling for vegan rice paper rolls or as a spread on toasted baguette slices for a party appetizer. Chilled straight from the fridge, it keeps its crisp spice and texture, making it ideal for prepping ahead of time for gatherings or quick snacks. For those who enjoy a bit of heat, adjust the amount of Fly By Jing Sweet & Spicy Chili Crisp to your preference. This versatile condiment adds both sweetness and kick, and using the mild garlic version on top provides an extra flavor layer. In conclusion, this viral sushi dip is more than just a snack; it’s a way to enjoy bold flavors and textures while sticking to a plant-based diet. Experiment with toppings and dippers like crunchy rice cakes, pretzel bites, cucumber sticks, and seaweed sheets to keep your snack time exciting and satisfying.
