The Legend of Zelda, Breath of The Wild
Here’s a little drawing I did of Daruk from the wonderful game The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild. I love all the Zelda games. The first one I ever played was on Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. I’ve played that game probably 100 times or more lol. I always had trouble getting through the water temple. I think that was the hardest level for me. I always had to ask my brother to play that part of the game for me, so I could finish the game. Idk about you, but when I play a game, I like to finish it to completion. So I do every little task lol. Let me know what your favorite game is. I love playing video games. I also love trying out new ones. #lemon8diarychallenge #Petlover #gamefanart #daruk #zelda #breathofthewild #loveart #gamer
As a longtime fan of The Legend of Zelda series, diving into Breath of the Wild was an incredible experience, and characters like Daruk really stood out. I loved bringing him to life in my fan art, focusing on his iconic features like his yellow skin, bright blue eyes, and that distinctive white hair. And of course, the faceted red and grey gem that hangs from a chain around his neck is such a key part of his look. Daruk, the Goron Champion, is such a memorable figure from BotW. He's not just a powerful warrior but also has a big heart and a genuinely kind spirit, even if he can be a bit clumsy at times! His story, protecting the Goron people and piloting the Divine Beast Vah Rudania, is a crucial part of Link's quest to defeat Calamity Ganon. I remember feeling so connected to his spirit as I navigated through Eldin, learning about his past alongside Princess Zelda and the other Champions. It's characters like Daruk that give the game its emotional depth and make the world feel so rich and alive. Speaking of Daruk, you can't talk about him without mentioning his signature weapon: the mighty Boulder Breaker! This massive two-handed weapon is a symbol of Goron strength and ingenuity. In the game, it's incredibly powerful, especially against rock-based enemies, and it feels so satisfying to wield. Even though my drawing primarily focuses on his face, that weapon is always implicitly there, representing his role as a protector. Getting to rebuild it after its initial destruction is a small but really rewarding side quest, fitting perfectly with my love for completing every task in a game. BotW is often praised for how it balances its vast open world with compelling characters and a deep narrative, and Daruk is a prime example of that balance. His personal story, his connection to Link, and his contribution to the overall lore make exploring Hyrule so much more meaningful. The way the game weaves together these personal tales with grand adventure is just brilliant. It's not just about fighting monsters; it's about understanding the history, the sacrifices, and the hopes of the people and champions who came before. It’s that blend of epic scale and intimate character development that keeps me coming back, just like I kept replaying Ocarina of Time despite that infamous Water Temple!

I love Legend of Zelda but I've only played the ones that are on the switch. I've always wanted to play Twilight Princess tho!
